ro ro ro your boat

Since I had not been a spiritual or religious seeker, I had no clue there was such a thing as ultimate freedom. I only knew about the freedom that is commonly recognized and understood in our world - the worldly kind of relative freedom. That's the one I was after since childhood, driven to have a happier, more meaningful, more peaceful, more true and authentic life. So, when the other freedom appeared one day without warning, collapsing in the process my entire life as I had known and understood it, it was a shock to say the least.

A method /technique

Someone asked me to suggest a method or technique to help the “shift” to awakening. But, there is no need of any technique or shift, in order to be what we already are. When we have spent years making so much effort trying to become more, trying to fix and improve who we think we are, we can not believe that the truth can be in absolute simplicity. It sounds too easy. No effort required? Surely not. We are so used to complication that simplicity seems too difficult. We can not hear that the answer is not in adding or taking away anything. It is not in doing or even in not doing.
And in not knowing what to do or not do, this can feel incredibly frustrating. All you know is to try hard, and do a lot. But what you already are, is not known, or understood, and doesn't require any effort at all, because it is you.
So then the next question is naturally, "well, how can I know this myself, rather than just believing your words?" You can't because the one who is trying to know this, is the thinking. The thinking will never be able to know that that is aware of it. So you are left with simply feeling the frustration. There is no escape from feeling it while it is here. There is no point in trying hard to fix it with an imagined perfectly clever answer. It doesn't work anyway. There are endless questions and endless answers. At some point you see how pointlessly simple it really is.

And in acknowledging this simplicity, you may have to face your feelings of disappointment at how easy it really is.

Aliveness

When the “me” is asked to describe itself – it starts with what it thinks it knows : a name, likes/dislikes, choices it’s made, places it’s been, the body’s birth place, its friends, family, jobs, beliefs … What is never mentioned … "aliveness"…

The “me” describes someone in time and space – a story, a collection of thoughts that seem to come with an energetic contraction, giving the appearance of limitation in the body. However what the ‘me’ never talks about is this aliveness that always is, that isn’t limited nor coming from anything … it never changes, even though the forms appear to change, the scenery, smells, colours, people, thoughts, feelings, they all change – but aliveness always is.

Beyond Time

In the quiet dawn of realization, I at last knew my being entirely beyond time, beyond everything conceivable. The foretaste had sparked into direct knowing. A sweet silence and bliss began to blossom. It is like being in love and watching as all hesitation and doubt fade into nothingness. The mind, the body — all was awash in pure presence and stillness. In stillness was the awe and wonder of an absolute aloneness beyond every created thing, yet without any loss of ordinary perception. I felt, as D. H. Lawrence wrote in the poem New Heaven and Earth, that ‘I could cry with joy, because I am in the new world, just ventured in. I could cry with joy, and quite freely, there is nobody to know.’ And I did cry with joy.

Nothing outward had changed. But the sense of being a known mental or physical object had collapsed, taking down with it the diaphanous boundaries of the dream-self. Suddenly life was immediate — unmediated — charged with presence. An unworldly stillness prevailed, along with the most delicate and immense sense of love I had ever known — a love without object. I was drenched in the original innocence of being, and I was the innocence.

It's all a hologram of many holograms.

In a hologram, each part of the hologram contains the information for the whole hologram. The universe is structured holographically. You are holographic. Each possible "version" of your reality is also holographic. You contain within you all possible versions of reality.  All holograms (versions of reality) are contained within you. From all these infinite possibilities, you "select" the version to be experienced with your beliefs, imagination, and feelings. Your imagination is the "archive" of all your possible holograms. From this archive of possibilities, the version that you "imagine" (believe, or focus your imagination on) is your currently-selected version of reality. Then you "activate" this selected version with your feelings. The more intense the feelings, the more powerfully you activate this version, and therefore, the more quickly it manifests as your tangible reality. Positive feelings activate the positive desired versions. Negative feelings activate the negative undesired versions (the dreaded outcomes).
